Thailand Offered

I have been working in Sony for 6 months since August 2009. (I worked in Sony for six months) Maybe most of my friends are curious to know mu current situation and have a lot of questions like that “Have I already resigned?” Why I want to resign?” “Then, what is your next step.” Actually I hate these of questions. I don’t like to answers at all and even I would not like to admit that I have resigned in order to skip the following questions. Sorry to all my dear friends for the responses. I have to say I’m not used to inform my situation to anyone including my family. Sometimes, I would only share to my intimate friends by myself when I feel like I’m willing to tell. It is very depends on my mood. I don’t really like people to ask more, especially those people who only want to gossip but they are never close with me or even care about me. There is no point for my sharing, very sorry to say that.

However, I will inform you all especially my true friends about my latest life.
Yes, I had resigned from working in Sony which at Bangi on Feb. I am not sure as if the decision is correct or not but I have already resigned, that is the fact that can not be changed. However, I do not regret because I know what I am doing.

Now, come up with the question “Why you want to resign?”
Actually I can get an offer from Double A company through a seminar but they offer me to work in Thailand. My friend and I also get the same offer where the position is to work as Financial Executive in Thailand. Besides, the company offers up to Thai Bath 480000 (around RM4800) to us including allowances but the basic salary is only Thai Bath 22000 (around RM2200). Ya, the basic salary is quite low for a foreign employee because we can get anywhere in Malaysia easily

At that monent, I was very struggling to accept this offer. I had tried to ask some friends who had worked in Thai and worked in the same company. However, all the information seems like quite negative. My friends said there are employees who come from oversea whether China or Malaysia, they could not get the salary due to delayed working permit. One of my friends who come from Malaysia also faced the same problem. After she knew the fact, she totally could not accept and forgive for such a thing occurred. She felt like she was cheated. So she did not wait until the approval of the working permit and she resigned from the job and came back to Malaysia. About another employee is still waiting for the working permit and working for the company without salary. Furthermore, my friend told perhaps you can not even get back the salary since you are working “illegal” while waiting working permit to be approved. Oh My God! This is TOO BAD! I really can feel that she was cheated. Moreover, she said the laptop allowance would not be given at full amount. They will pay a part of it only. I feel CHEATED again. Why HR is so not honest to us? I feel they are just using the attractive amount to cheat us over to work there.

However, at my first thought, it is cannot be denied that is a good chance to work in foreign country since the re is an offer. Here are my reasons to work in Thai:
I) to gain more and different life experience
II) to explore more new things about Thai, no matter culture or working style
III) hoping that I can travel to surrounding countries like Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
IV) higher income compare to Malaysia (if everything is going smooth)

However, I am worried about that I will be the one of them working without being salary paid. How long do I need to wait? How can I survive without income and family support there? I am not a rich enough to survive without money. Beside of that, after I checked the flight to Laos, Vietnam or Cambodia by Air Asia from KLIA, I found that the price is cheaper than travelling from Thai if there are any promotions from Air Asia.

In a summary, there are a few of negative influences if we are working in Thai:I) Maybe without salary in the first few months.
II) Boring life without friends and family there, no entertainments
III) Cannot get cheaper price for travelling. Taking public bus is long distance.
IV) Basic is low and no EPF
VI) If we only work for 3 months, we need to find another work after that. Everything start from zero again. That is damn SHIT.
VII) I worried about my parents since they are no longer your. I will regret that I am not beside them if anything happened.

I am very struggling. However, my friend and I had already made up our mind and we still insist to go over there. Are we crazy? Are we too irrational? Well, never try; never know. Then, we will not give up although we had heard a lot of negative influences. On the other hand, we don’t want to regret since the opportunity is given. So, both of us had resigned our current work in Jan since they requested us to start working on 1st of March. Then, we planed to enjoy the whole Feb and the Chinese New Year. Get ready to TRY or DIE.
